The last few weeks have been incredibly busy.
We have been able to run a Living With Loss course with several ladies, looking at loss of different types. Hopefully each lady will be able to move forward with their lives after their significant losses, not forgetting the past or the memories but looking at ways in which they are able to cope on a day to day basis. This has also been run in one to one sessions with a few ladies.
We have been able to facilitate on a Sycamore Tree Restorative Justice and Victim Awareness course with Prison Fellowship in one prison, with 20 ladies looking at the harm, hurt and losses caused by their crimes, not just upon their victims but their families, friends and the wider community too.
ID has been fortunate to have its first volunteer come 'inside' and we are half way into a6 week Shine Women course. So far we have looked at VALUE and WORTH with 11 ladies and will be moving on to STRENGTH and PURPOSE in the next few weeks. They are all responding well, and taking on board the course content.
All of this has been in addition to our usual pastoral care and support for the ladies we work with on a daily basis.
We are grateful to all those that continue to support the work in a variety of ways, and feel privileged to be involved in the lives of the ladies we are currently working alongside.
