What a privilege to work this week with 4 ladies on one of our 'Living With Loss' courses. None of them known to me beforehand, and all with different needs, all with different losses, all with different backgrounds, stories, and hopes for the future. We do the course in 4 sessions over 2 days; quite an intense course, looking at deep issues of loss, varying from the loss of loved ones, to loss of children through adoption, and issues of separation.
Here are some of the comments from the ladies:
"Thank you, it was a very helpful course, I have learnt a lot from this, and I'm going to use what I have learnt to move on with my life."
"I believe this is a very good course, many people are struggling with their emotions and don't know where to turn with these feelings. It has helped me to realise that it is not all bad, that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and that I can find ways to turn my negatives into positives."
One of the highlights for me was the way that these 4 very different ladies engaged with one another; really great group dynamics, all encouraging one another and supporting one another, helping one another through, and seeing the potential and treasure in each of their lives. It is always so good to see how they embrace challenges and have a real desire to change their ways, and their mind sets. Thank you to those that support this work in prayer - it makes a huge difference.
